“We support Amnesty for all working immigrants
living in this country”
In late July, Class 103, arrived to Washington, DC. Their hope is
that Congress will act and take the appropriate steps to assist
them as constituents. The following example is abstracted from their
speaking points to Congress.
“Ironically, inmates in jails have better equipment and facilities to educate themselves. Why do inmates in jails have better equipment and facilities to educate themselves? Why don’t Stockton school districts have the same equipment and facilities as the inmates in jail? Our education should have the priority as the future of this country and this can prevent students from being put into jail. They questioned the reasons why Mexicans were not granted amnesty like other ethnicity's if in the constitution it states that all people are created equal. Why are Mexicans denied this equality. Class 103 supported Amnesty for all working immigrants living in the United States.
“This experience left my heart in this institute. It will be so nice if I could just put it in my pocket and take it home. I really enjoyed this one week and I hope someday I can come back and have a great time as I did now.”
